Your voice is an instrument you always carry with you, and learning to use it well changes both how you sing and how you feel when you do. Singing lessons cover breathing, pitch, resonance, and vocal health, applied to the style you enjoy: pop, ballads, rock, Colombian music, classical singing, or anything you want to explore. Your teacher comes to your home in Bogotá and the surrounding area or teaches you by video call. If you've never taken lessons, read what to expect from your first singing lessons.

From age 6
With children, singing is approached as vocal play: songs, imitation, pitch and breathing, without straining the voice or chasing an adult sound. Formal technique is introduced gradually and adapted to their body, and during the voice change in adolescence it's best to move forward with special care, respecting the range available at each stage. This is only a guideline, and every child is different. Adults can start at any age: it's never too late to discover and train your voice.
Improves your breathing and posture, which also shows when you speak in public.
Builds confidence and self-expression.
Teaches you to look after your voice, which is valuable if you use it a lot at work or in your studies.
Trains your ear, a very useful foundation if you later want to accompany yourself on piano or guitar.
Lessons vary by age: the pace, the repertoire, and who helps with practice at home.

Almost everyone can improve their singing with training: singing in tune is a skill you develop through your ear and practice, not just a gift. Every voice has its own color and range, and the goal of the lessons is to bring out the best in yours. Progress depends on consistency and on each person's starting point.
Yes, and they work well for breathing, pitch, technique and repertoire. The slight video-call delay makes it impossible to sing at exactly the same time as the teacher, so you take turns or work with backing tracks. If you prefer in-person contact, you can take lessons at home in Bogotá and surrounding areas.
It's very common, and your teacher knows it: the first lessons focus on simple exercises and on building a relaxed, trusting atmosphere. Taking lessons at home or by video call, in a familiar space, usually helps you loosen up. You don't have to sing a whole song on the first day.
Yes. Vocal technique is the common foundation, but it applies to whatever style you want: pop, rock, ballad, salsa, Colombian Andean music or classical singing, among others. Your teacher chooses exercises and repertoire with your goal in mind, whether that's singing for fun, singing in a band or preparing for an audition.
